I learned something tonight. Just because food has fancy garnishes and vibrant colors that pop out doesn't make it taste good. It's just art. Pleasing to the eyes maybe, but not so much to the mouth. The Red Pepper Slaw was that piece of art tonight. Look at that picture! What beautiful colors, but what bitter and nasty taste! Oh, well. I have never had a cabbage in my house before (other than those few tiny shreds they put in a bag o' salad), and now I can say........."I attacked a cabbage!" But on to the burger. I loved it. However, there was cheese in the burgers and since I cooked the burgers on a grill under the broiler, all the cheese melted and fell through the cracks and out of the meat. Because of this, the meat cooked into half the size, kinda fell apart, and had NO CHEESE IN IT! The main part was supposed to be that smoky cheddar taste when you bite into it. So that was disappointing. But a lesson for us all, when you cook a burger with a meltable substance inside, cook it in a skillet or somewhere that the goodness can't escape out from under you.
