#205 Chicken Sausage on a Roll with Egg and Fontina

I made homemade sausage for this one. If you want to make simple sausage patties or meatballs with chicken, pork or beef here is a simple recipe for it: use 1 pound of whatever ground meat you want, with 1 T. of grill seasoning, 1 t. fennel (anise) seeds, 4 garlic gloves, 1/4 c sun-dried tomatoes chopped, a 7 fresh basil leaves finely chopped, salt, pepper, and a medium onion. Mix together with your CLEAN hands, and there you have it. Of course you can always just buy sausage but, it was fun to do it at least once homemade.

So, these were breakfast sandwiches. Toasted *bun bottoms, mayo, sausage, fontina cheese melted on top, and then your choice of egg (I like sunny-side up), and top with the *bun/roll/bagel/English muffin. I liked this a lot. This is going to be my new Saturday morning breakfast whenever Juts is out for the morning =)
