#4 Mac-n-Cheddar with Broccoli


It's been a few days, but this is recipe number four. Actually, the next 3 recipes after this are all different ways to do Mac-n-Cheese. So, I might skip and come back to them (I hate Macaroni and Cheese with a passion!). I don't know why, but Rachael put cayenne pepper in this (along with all the other mac-n-cheeses). It made it too hot, so I will put a pinch in instead of 1/2 t. next time. But the family really loved it. Texture was divine and oooohhh soooo creamy. She cooked the Broccoli in the same pot as the macaroni. I thought that was clever-double duty, less time, less pots to clean. And the broccoli got so tender that when you mixed it all together, it kinda falls apart. You don't have all these chunks that your kids are going to fork through, and not eat. They will get that broccoli whether they want it or not!
