#252 Croque Monsieur

This is a very popular grilled sandwich from France. It is made in French cafes and bistros, and I liked it even more, when I did the research to find out what it's name meant, what it was and where it came from. In English, "Croque Monsieur" translates to "Mister Crunch". Cute! With this sandwich, the cheese is on the outside instead of inside. So you cook up a white sauce with Dijon(I know, I know), and spread that on the INSIDE of both pieces of bread with your ham and put it together. Then butter the hot skillet with some butter and a handful of Gruyere cheese, spread it around and place your sandwich on top, and do the same thing with the other side, when it's nice and crusty and you are ready to flip it. Really fancy and an awesome change up from typical ham and cheese. Enjoy all ya'll!
