I turned both of these into one amazing dinner tonight. Two things, I learned how to do! I made homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup (not from a can), and learned how to make Chicken Divan. I was going to call one of my sister-in-laws to come help us eat it, but I wasn't sure if anyone would like it. Lots and lots of butter and cream! I shouldv'e known it was going to be good! Sorry girls! You can come up tomorrow and have some leftovers if you want. Seriously =) So, the cream of mushroom soup is oil melted with butter, put in lots of chopped white mushrooms, garlic, and onions. After they brown, add 2 T of flour and cook for a minute, then whisk in 1 C of stock, and 1 C of cream, when it starts to bubble add thyme, a tiny bit of nutmeg, salt, and pepper and it should be nice and thick and creamy, and steamy, and dreamy, and......ok this is starting to sound like Patrick Dempsey, I'm done! The Divan part was just adding chicken and broccoli to the noddles and Mr. Dempsey sauce.
